This very timely episode offers practical perspectives on enforcement of Hague 2019 (formally known as Convention of 2 July 2019 on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters), an international treaty on Private International Law, which has been enforced in Spain and the majority of the EU since 2023 September 1 and will be enforced in the UK as of 2025 July 1.

Other topics covered include: Hague 2019 in contrast to Hague 2005, including Brexit’s effect; Brussels I Regulation (recast); Lugano Convention 2007; and top tips for dispute resolution clauses, including why – in some countries – it will soon be critical to be the first party to choose a dispute method.
